Once again we have an exciting line-up of bands performing at the event, at our stage in Church Street:
10:15-11:15
Thick Cut is a powerhouse live rock covers band that brings a massive, no-nonsense classic rock sound to venues across Berkshire and the wider South of England. Forged in the spirit of hard-rock titans, this five-piece outfit is all about delivering a high-energy, twin-guitar, crowd-pleasing rock-and-roll experience.
The band’s musical foundation is rooted deeply in the legendary guitar-driven eras of the 70s and 80s. Their setlists are a dream for classic rock fans, stacked with heavy-hitting anthems from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Whitesnake, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, and The Black Crowes.
11:45 – 12:45
If you’ve spent any time drifting through the pub backrooms, local festivals, and beer gardens of Somerset and Wiltshire, chances are you’ve kicked back to the high-energy, unapologetic sounds of The Buzzing Fridges. Proudly hailing from Midsomer Norton, this classic rock and pop covers outfit has built a rock-solid reputation as the ultimate feel-good pub band.
The beauty of The Buzzing Fridges lies in their sheer versatility. Rather than locking themselves into a single decade, they treat a gig like a massive, curated jukebox. Their setlists span from the rock ‘n’ roll goldies of the 1950s all the way to contemporary indie anthems and modern chart-toppers. On any given night, you’re just as likely to hear a blistering classic rock guitar solo as you are a massive 90s pop sing-along that gets the entire room bouncing.
13:15 – 14:15
The Roughcut Rebels are a high-energy, Wiltshire-based four-piece cover band known for tearing up the local pub and festival scene with a stellar repertoire of British Mod, 60s classics, and Indie anthems.
Bringing massive energy and a “having it large” attitude to every gig, the band effortlessly bridges generations by fusing timeless epochs of British guitar music. Their powerhouse setlists seamlessly blend the raw, swinging sixties sounds of The Who, The Kinks, The Beatles, and The Stones with the sharp, driving Mod-revival energy of The Jam and Paul Weller. They transition effortlessly into 90s Britpop and modern indie giants, smashing out massive crowd-pleasers from Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, The Stone Roses, and Jake Bugg.
Withered Delilah
14:45 – 15:45
Withered Delilah is a high-octane hard rock tribute band based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, that pays ultimate homage to the legendary guitar work of Saul Hudson—better known to the world as Slash.
Named after the hard-charging track from the 2014 album World on Fire by Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, the band delivers a blistering, authentic rock-and-roll experience. Their sprawling setlists tap directly into the iconic guitarist’s entire musical lineage, bridging the raw, bluesy sleaze of early Guns N’ Roses, the hard-hitting riffs of Velvet Revolver, and the soulful, soaring melodies of his extensive solo and Conspirators catalog.
The Vooz
16:15 – 17:15
The Vooz are a high-energy Indie Punk Rock band from Marlborough, Wiltshire, known for unleashing what local reviewers call a “veracious, energy-driven explosion” wherever they plug in. Fusing the raw, aggressive bite of classic punk rock with the driving, melodic hooks of modern indie, they specialize in fast-paced, high-octane live shows that move with the intensity of driving down the fast lane.
The band’s identity is built on a foundation of massive, tongue-in-cheek fun, self-deprecating humor, and a heavy dose of volume. Their dynamic setlists effortlessly bridge genres, packing a hard-hitting punch of contemporary, punked-up pop and rock covers. Audiences can expect to hear anything from sharp, driving versions of Green Day and The Arctic Monkeys to a high-tempo take on The Lemonheads’ “Mrs. Robinson,” alongside brilliantly energetic, unexpected pop transformations and anthemic originals.
Howard Marshall
Howard Marshall (1944 – 2023) was an avid supporter of the Bike Meet, with his involvement stretching back into the days of the Rotary club.
Without his efforts the committee would not be what it is today. It was Howard who called for the initial meeting to create the Calne Bike Meet Committee in 2012, this action saved the Bike Meet and without him it is unlikely there would have been a 2013 event.
Even once the new committee was formed he was present helping us in our first couple of years. He was the Jedi Master of Calne Bike Meet! Howard was also a keen musician, often found around the band stage or with a guitar in hand.
As a tribute to his support for our event and his enthusiasm for music, we have named our music stage in his honour.
