Important Information for Riders

  • Pre-Booked Riders: If you have already booked online, simply come to our stand to Pay the £5 & collect your wristband. We will have a full list of everyone who has registered.
  • On-the-Day Entries: Haven’t booked yet? No problem! You can pay on the day at our official stand.
  • Where to Find Us: Look for our stand located by the Library.

Calne Bike Meet – Ride-Out Disclaimer & Waiver

Please read this document carefully. By participating in the Calne Bike Meet Ride-Out (hereafter referred to as “the Event”), you acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Personal Responsibility & Safety

  • Ride at Your Own Risk: Participation in this Event is entirely voluntary. You accept that motorcycling carries inherent risks, and you choose to participate at your own risk.
  • Road Legality: You certify that your motorcycle is fully road-legal, possesses a valid MOT (if applicable), is properly taxed, and is covered by valid third-party or comprehensive insurance.
  • Licensing: You confirm that you hold a valid motorcycle license appropriate for the machine you are riding.
  • Protective Gear: You agree to wear a legally compliant helmet and appropriate protective clothing for the duration of the ride.

2. Adherence to Traffic Laws

  • The Highway Code: This is not a race or a timed event. You must strictly adhere to the UK Highway Code, speed limits, and all local traffic laws at all times.
  • Marshal Instructions: While event marshals may be present to assist with routing, you remain entirely responsible for your own safety and compliance with traffic signals. Marshals do not have the legal authority to stop public traffic.

3. Liability Waiver

  • Exclusion of Liability: The organizers of the Calne Bike Meet, committee members, marshals, volunteers, and sponsors accept no responsibility or liability for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, howsoever caused, during the Event.
  • Third-Party Damage: You are solely responsible for any damage or injury you may cause to yourself, other participants, or members of the public.

4. Health and Conduct

  • Fitness to Ride: You confirm that you are medically fit to ride and are not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that could impair your riding ability.
  • Behavior: The organizers reserve the right to ask any participant to leave the ride-out if their behavior is deemed reckless, dangerous, or disruptive to others.

By joining the ride-out group, or purchasing a ride-out ticket, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this disclaimer.
