Our 2023 charities are:
Freewheelers EVS is a registered charity which offers an out of hours, free of charge courier service to the NHS. Freewheelers transport blood, pathology and microbiology specimens, patient notes, X-rays, breast milk and other medical supplies, plus deliver every night to two local Air Ambulance bases.
Mental Health Motorbike exists to create meaningful opportunities to grow the greater wellbeing of the motorbike community. Their ultimate aim is to reduce suicide amongst bikers in the UK. They are building a free, dedicated national network of trained mental health first aiders who can support bikers and their families across the UK.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust is a registered charity providing an essential Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas. Wiltshire Air Ambulance is operational up to 19 hours a day, every day, and is called to, on average, three incidents a day in its helicopter and two critical care cars.
A great example of just how much good the Calne Bike Meet can do; the 2022 event generated a total of £8,000 for our chosen charities:
- Biker Down
- Calne Food Bank
- National Association for Bikers with a Disability (NABD)
- Royal British Legion (Calne Branch)
Representatives from some of these charities joined us at our cheque presentation evening and gave a great insight into how these donations will be used; we look forward to
Our 2023 sponsors are:
To make the event happen and allow us to give so generously to our selected charities we ask for help, and every year the fantastic business community in and around Wiltshire answer our call.
The Calne Bike Meet is and will always be a free event. It’s for the benefit of the town and the motorcycling community more widely.
However, while the best things in life might well be free, there are many things that aren’t and a lot of those are needed to make sure the Calne Bike Meet is a safe and comfortable event for people of all ages and abilities.
We are proudly sponsored by Bevirs Law, Butfield Breach, Hills Waste Solutions and MiPermit.
Bevirs Law are our lead sponsor and have been serving the legal needs of Calne and surround towns for over 100 years. With legal services covering accident claims, residential conveyancing, family law and much more, we are very pleased to have them working alongside us this year
Butfield Breach has supported the Calne Bike Meet for many years and are Calne’s number one estate agent. Their support of this and many other local events is unwavering, they are a credit to our town.
Hills Waste Solutions is a long-term supporter of the bike meet. Keeping an entire town centre clean and tidy is no easy feat, but the facilities provided by Hills makes it all possible.
MiPermit enable car park operators to accept electronic payments for Pay & Display car parking, residents and visitor permits, and season tickets. Each electronic permit is digital, meaning that you do not need to display anything in your vehicle. You simply pay and go.
